Remove all stones or diamonds before redi prongs are applied:
1. Clean ring thoroughly in ultrasonic.
2. Select appropriate size redi prongs to match prongs being retipped.
3. Lightly file top of prongs that are being retipped.
4. Coat ring with mixture of boric acid and alcohol.
5. Apply flux to top of worn prong to be retipped.
6. Apply one redi prong ink side up to top of worn prong.
7. Heat redi prong until pre applied 14 karat gold solder flows and redi prong attaches to
worn prong. Use fire tool to assist in holding redi prong in place.
8. Repeat steps 5, 6 and 7 for each prong being retipped.
9. If needed flow small amount of additional 14k medium gold solder and blend the attached
redi prong to upper outside edge of prong being retipped.
10. Shape to fit with cup burr or barrett file if needed.
11. Rubber wheel prongs lightly and polish ring.
