Euro style ear clips are sold unriveted as the lug part of the clip is soldering to the jewelry separately so as not to ruin the temper of the tension spring.When reassembling be very careful not to pinch the earring frame sides to the tension spring. A small gap must be left on all sides of the tension spring, a common mistake is to rivet the frame and tension spring tightly together, binding the tension spring so it cannot operate properly. Lubrication is very important. Do not operate the ear clip without it, especially when removing from an ultrasonic or after steam cleaning. Be sure to check and adjust the spring tension before riveting
